Juvenile Delinquency Cases, CHILDREN AT RISK

The ACF has been working closely with Civil Rights 4 Children (cr4c), which is based in Santa Clara County, California to understand the abuse of children in the Juvenile Delinquency System. There have been many local news stories about the abuse of Santa Clara Counties children in the juvenile hall system, which includes both mental and physical abuse of the children who are held in the counties protection.

The United States Department of Justice and the FBI are investigating the abuse of these children. The DOJ has indicated that children are held in this county longer for the same crime than in any other county in the United States.

The ACF is very concerned with the systematic abuse of children that is going on here and has now started to provide assistance to the parents to help them understand the system and what they can do to help themselves. The juvenile delinquency system in California receives US Title IV monies to distribute to their agents, the counties. The counties and state must be held accountable for the abuse of children in their juvenile system. Children are abused systematically in juvenile dependency and delinquency and with the receipt of federal monies they are liable for their action including the violations of civil and constitutional rights.

The ACF will be providing self-help services to the parents and children in need and we thank Civil Rights 4 Children for giving the ACF the opportunity to help with their parent’s issues. We are here to help any of those in need with support services in the form of classes.
